If you have yet to visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, in the southeastern corner of Tennessee and western North Carolina, you’ve missed one of the most beautiful areas of the United States. The mountains are called the Smokies
because their dense forest coverage and rainfall frequently generate a canopy of ’smoke’ and mist that hangs over the mountains and drifts into the deep valleys. The National Park Service reports that this park is the most visited in the nation.
Nestled in the foothills of these beautiful mountains, Hurshel and Marion Biggs founded The Incredible Christmas Place over 20 years ago in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Owned and operated by three generations of the family, Christmas Place has grown into the South’s largest Christmas gifts and decorations store and village. With over 30,000 square feet of themed shops and displays to wander and enjoy, we are a premier destination. Spectacular decorated trees, floral displays, and a life-sized, carved nativity displayed in front of a two-story, stained-glass window, make us one of the most beautiful destinations as well.
Each year, the professionals in our Floral Gallery and decoration departments recreate
an incredible variety of fully-decorated Christmas trees throughout the store, in styles ranging from traditional and elegant to contemporary and whimsical. The selection of trees, lights, ornaments and adornments is updated annually. The floral design team is continually creating centerpieces, wreaths, and swags, including many custom creations, in uniquely beautiful themes. They will gladly help you design an entire tree from the top down!
The Christmas Place gift selection includes many popular, well-known collections by artists such as Thomas Kinkaid, Christopher Radko and Jim Shore. You’ll also find Fontanini nativities, Possible Dreams Santas, Lee Middleton dolls and San Francisco music boxes, along with Department 56 snow villages and Snowbabies.
The Christmas Place Village Shops offer a variety of treats. The Personalizing Gallery has
hundreds of ornaments waiting to be personalized for loved ones and friends. Baby’s first Christmas, sports themes, pets, weddings and traditional Christmas images are among the styles available with free personalization. Toys and Trains and Santaland have delights for the kids, including scheduled appearances and photos with the Singing Santa.
Opened in March, 2008, The Boutique carries an extended selection of Vera Bradley
bags, the Crabtree & Evelyn luxury skin care line, and a selection of jewelry, fragrances, accessories, and gifts. Second Nature is a gallery of nature-inspired art, gifts and decorations for your home and garden. Treat yourself with a visit to Mrs. Claus’ Candy Kitchen, where each day we make fresh fudge, turtles and chocolate treats. The lunch menu features Mrs. Claus’ Chicken Salad Sandwiches, which you can enjoy with a refreshing drink and finish off with a dish of ice cream. We have both indoor and courtyard seating.
The Christmas Place and Village Shops surround a paved courtyard filled with lighted trees, topiary, and an outdoor train set. A giant cuckoo clock chimes the hours with dancing figures above a row of hardy carolers. Lighted shop windows filled with Christmas treasures add a colorful and charming backdrop to the scene. Visit this beautifully landscaped, Bavarian-style village and step into Christmas year ’round.
In 2007, The Inn at Christmas Place, a picturesque Bavarian hotel with Christmas decorations and themed rooms and suites, joined the Christmas Place family, just across the parkway
from the shops. Already Pigeon Forge’s top-ranked hotel, the Inn offers unsurpassed elegance and superb hospitality to guests year round. Surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains, just minutes from the national park and area dining and entertainment attractions, we are perfectly situated to help you experience the spirit of Christmas and enjoy all the area has to offer in comfort and convenience. We are located at Christmas Tree Lane between traffic lights #2 and #3 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

My four sisters and I find the Christmas Place our little heaven on earth. We visit every year on what we call our “Sister Trip.”
We love Christms and have visited many, many Christmas stores. This hands down is the best the United States has to offer.
See you in November to see the Festival of Lights.
i am coming to tenn in august for vacation and after reading aout christmas place i know this is where i will go to first on my vacation vivian
I recently re-visited the Christmas Place (for about the 10th time). I try to go to Tennessee one to two times a year and it is the FIRST place I go to. It is like no other place. They have every item imaginable. Very friendly associates, very helpful. You will find everything and anything you are looking for. Christmas is my favorite time of the year and I celebrate it daily, even though I live in hot and humid Florida. Wish I worked at Christmas Place and lived in TN, though. Thanks for having such an awesome place and such great employees.
I have been to the Incredible Christmas Place and IT IS TRULY INCREDIBLE! If you are looking for the most unique Christmas items, this is the place to go. The the new web site is the best, take a look around and enjoy it. It may be hot outside, but dreaming of a white Christmas is just a click away!
I have not yet personally visited the Incredible Christmas Place. Is it truly incredible the way all my friends and family have described it to me?
Larry, so true about the frame of mind! Many times people ask our staff if they get tired of hearing Christmas music here in the store, but we never do – because the songs are so positive, hopeful, and full of joy – even the silly ones. We also try to keep the spirit of giving alive throughout the year, as people aren’t just needy at the end of December. Our Relay for Life team keeps us actively involved every month.
I love Christmas and “celebrate” year round … thinking of the birth of Jesus. By the way, I am posting a Christmas site based on the new book “A Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts” which emphasizes a stress-free Christmas. It is

PS Christmas is not a day on the calendar but a frame of mind.
