About the Inn at Christmas Place

The Inn at Christmas Place, located on the parkway in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, stands out from the crowd with its striking and picturesque Bavarian architecture, copper-crowned turrets, and meticulously landscaped gardens and grounds.  Opened in June, 2007, the 145-room, rising four-star hotel is located directly across the parkway from its namesake, The Incredible Christmas Place and Village Shops, in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Uniformed bellmen and caroling figurines welcome guests through custom etched glass doors into the second floor reception lobby, which features rich hardwood flooring, a two-story stone fireplace, and a 12-foot Christmas tree.  Holiday décor in the form of trees, wreaths, swags, table arrangements, figurines, and artwork imbues the Inn with the spirit of Christmas all year round.  Most decorations in both public areas and guest rooms, including selected paintings, are available for purchase.

In the Grand Lobby on the first floor, a three-story stone fireplace is home to the Inn’s outstanding showpiece, a custom handcrafted 25-foot glockenspiel.  Built by the Inn’s own woodworkers, and composed of 14 hand-cast bronze bells and one 24-inch hour strike bell, the glockenspiel gives hourly performances of carols and chimes.  The concert begins when Santa appears at the top of the clock, and Elves strike out the hour.  The Inn’s own live Singing Santa entertains guests by the fire with scheduled concerts during the summer and throughout the Christmas season.  Letters to Santa may be posted in the mailbox here as well.

From the Grand Lobby, step out onto a stone terraced courtyard and into the gardens beyond.  In warm weather, chairs and tables fill the terrace, offering guests a serene space from which to enjoy the gardens and water features.  During Christmas, live Nativity scenes are staged around the courtyard, much to the delight of visitors.

On the front lawn of the Inn, beautifully landscaped gardens filled with colorful plantings and native grasses surround two large ponds highlighted by natural stone waterfalls.  Benches situated around a grass expanse entice guests to indulge in an afternoon of cloud-gazing.  The exterior and grounds of the Inn are illuminated year round, dusk to dawn, with energy-efficient LED lighting.

The Inn at Christmas Place has many lodging features that are unique to the property, including two- and three-room suites.  Select rooms and suites are available with added Christmas décor such as full-size trees, and guests may choose rooms with private balconies overlooking the courtyard.  In-room fireplaces and 2-person whirlpools are also available in select rooms.  Granite countertops in all guest rooms and public areas, including the front desk, further enhance the elegant and gracious atmosphere of the Inn at Christmas Place.

Inn guests enjoy the ultimate luxury of sleeping on custom-manufactured mattresses and pillows from our exclusive Sleep in Heavenly Peace bedding line.  All bedding and bed linens are available for purchase and are shipped directly to your home.

Every guest room at the Inn is equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, LCD high definition TV, and high-speed Internet access, free of charge.  All rooms are located along interior corridors for guest safety.  There are two convenient laundry stations along with optional laundry service available.

Guests at the Inn enjoy complimentary breakfast in the Fireside Room, including our signature Omelet Station staffed by a chef preparing individual omelets to order.  Breakfast includes both hot and cold assortments of cereals, breads, pastries, and beverages, along with specialty and gourmet coffee selections.

The Elves’ Retreat Game Room and Holly Fitness Center are open until midnight every night.  The indoor pool and family-sized whirlpool are open 24 hours, and the outdoor pool is open seasonally until 10 p.m.  The outdoor pool features a 95-foot, figure-eight waterslide for hours of fun for kids of all ages.

Among the Inn’s many facilities are three banquet rooms that may be opened into one large space, accommodating up to 200 people.  All three are equipped with state-of-the-art electronics, and two rooms feature in-ceiling projection screens.  An elegantly-appointed boardroom is available for smaller meetings.  Catering services are offered for all meetings and events, from weddings and family reunions to conferences and tradeshows.

All Inn guests are invited to participate in an exclusive Frequent Guest Program, which earns discounts for members at both the Inn and Christmas Place.  Sign-up is available at the Front Desk or any checkout at The Christmas Place, and qualifying purchases at both businesses are combined for program participation.

Within minutes – and even walking distance – of the Inn, guests will find a variety of food and entertainment options for the whole family.  Trolley stops across the street or down the block offer convenient exploration of all area attractions, from Dollywood and Splash Country to live shows, outlet shopping malls, golf courses, and much more.

Nature lovers find our proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, just eight miles south, convenient for accessing and enjoying the awesome beauty of the mountains, whether by car or on foot or horseback within the park.  A trip through Cades Cove takes visitors back in time to see how the early settlers lived – a sharp contrast to the luxury of The Inn at Christmas Place.
